Tunisia is expected to see an increase in polyvinyl chloride imports over the next five years. The country is forecasted to import around 47 million kilograms in 2026, up from 43 million kilograms in 2021. This growth is estimated to have an average year-on-year rate of 1.3%. The country's demand for polyvinyl chloride has increased steadily since 1996, with year-on-year growth of 1.4%. In 2021, Tunisia was the 48th largest importer of the material, with Pakistan overtaking it in the ranking with 43 million kilograms. China, Italy and Germany placed second, third and fourth respectively. Tunisia's polyvinyl chloride export figures also saw a jump in 2016, with 160,000 kilograms being exported, compared to 50,000 kilograms the previous year.
