Norwegian demand for polyvinyl chloride is set to drop 7.2% year-on-year on average by 2026. This will bring imports down from 4.2 million kilograms in 2021 to 2.8 million kilograms. Since 1998, Norwegian demand has been falling at an average rate of 7.7% year-on-year. In 2021, the country ranked 90th in the world for PVC imports, while Laos topped the ranking with 4.2 million kilograms. China, Italy and Germany made the top four, respectively.
