The Netherlands is set to experience a modest annual growth rate in the export of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) over the next five years. In 2021, Dutch PVC exports reached 750 million kilograms and are expected to reach 814 million kilograms by 2026, a 1.1% year-on-year increase. Since 1997, Dutch supply of PVC has risen at a slow rate of 0.2% year on year. Dutch imports of PVC are also set to grow over the next five years, increasing from 167 million kilograms in 2021 to 178 million kilograms in 2026, at a 0.9% year-on-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR). Since 1997, Dutch demand for PVC has risen by 3.7% year on year. In 2021, the Netherlands ranked 15th in the world for PVC imports, while France took the lead with 167 million kilograms. China, Italy and Germany followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
