Sri Lanka's imports of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are expected to reach 63.9 million kilograms by 2026. This is an increase of 2% from 2021, when the imports totaled 56 million kilograms. Between 1999 and 2021, the demand for PVC in Sri Lanka has grown by almost 6%. In 2021, Sri Lanka took the 37th spot in the world's PVC imports rankings, overtaken by Kazakhstan, which imported 56 million kilograms. China, Italy and Germany held the top three spots in the rankings with the highest PVC imports. Since 2005, the PVC imports in Sri Lanka have decreased by 8.3% every year.
