Philippines' polyvinyl chloride imports are set to reach 84 million kilograms by 2026. Last year, the country imported 69 million kilograms, a 3.1% rise year-on-year. Since 2001, imports have grown by 0.7% annually. Chile overtook them in 2021 to become the 27th biggest importer of polyvinyl chloride, while China, Italy and Germany came in second, third and fourth respectively. Philippines' polyvinyl chloride exports nearly reached 74,000 kilograms in 2018. This is an enormous increase of 731.5% compared to 2017, when exports totalled just 8,930 kilograms. Over the past 19 years, exports have grown by an average of 51% annually.
