Brazil's import of methanol is set to increase by 2.7% year on year until 2026, reaching 1.45 billion kilograms. This follows an average yearly growth of 3.2% since 1994. In 2018, the country's export of methanol decreased by 43.1% compared to 2017, totalling 33 kilograms. This is a 90.1% decrease compared to the export volume since 1994. Brazil was ranked 80th in 2018, while Mauritius came first with 33 kilograms. Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United States came second, third and fourth, respectively.
