Ecuador is set to import 11.5 million kilograms of Methanol by 2026, a 0.3% decrease from 11.7 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1996, the demand for the product has grown by an average of 2.7% each year. In 2018, Ecuadorian Methanol exports totalled 29,880 kilograms, a 13,510% increase from the 219.47 kilograms recorded in 2017. Ecuador was the 65th largest exporter globally in 2018, behind Tunisia with 29,880 kilograms. Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States were the next three largest exporters respectively.
