The country was the 40th largest exporter of methanol in 2021, just behind Israel's 3,835,800 kilograms. Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States were the top three exporters of methanol in 2021, followed by Czech Republic. Czech Republic's export of methanol is expected to reach around 3.6 million kilogrammes by 2026, a 0.2% decrease from 2021. Since 1998, the export of methanol from Czech Republic has grown at an average rate of 2.8% each year.
