Ethiopia is set to become one of the top importers of xylene in the next five years. In 2021, the country reached 110,370 kilograms, up 3.4% from 2003. It was the 39th-largest importer that year, with Zimbabwe overtaking it. Germany, Italy and Belgium were the second, third and fourth-largest importers, respectively. By 2026, Ethiopian xylene imports are expected to reach 136,630 kilograms. This is an average growth rate of 3.3% year-on-year.
