German xylene exports are forecast to drop by 7.2% year-on-year to 26 million kilograms in 2026, down from 40 million kilograms in 2021. This marks a 9.3% decrease from 1996 levels. In 2021, Russia led the rankings with 40 million kilograms, while Germany ranked sixth. Singapore, the United States and the Netherlands followed respectively in second, third and fourth. Meanwhile, German xylene imports are expected to rise 1.2% year-on-year to 123 million kilograms in 2026, up from 113 million kilograms in 2021. This represents a 0.6% increase from levels in 1996. In 2021, China topped the rankings with 113 million kilograms, and Germany, Italy and Belgium followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
