Emirati xylene exports dropped by 93.5% in 2021 compared to the year before. Since 2012, the country's supply has fallen by 65.4%. Switzerland overtook the United Arab Emirates as the top exporter, at 888.25 kilograms. Singapore, the United States and the Netherlands took positions 2, 3 and 4. Imports of xylene to the United Arab Emirates are forecast to reach 20.55 kilograms by 2026, down 14.6% year-on-year. Since 2012, demand has dropped by 28.3%. Hungary overtook the UAE as the top importer with 49.23 kilograms. Germany, Italy and Belgium followed in positions 2, 3 and 4.
