This was slightly lower than Peru, who overtook Senegal with 3.2 million hectares. India, Russia and China ranked numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively in 2021. On average, Senegalese supply has decreased by 0.1% year on year since 1966. This is expected to continue until 2026, when the country's agricultural area is forecast to reach 3.2 million hectares.
