Agricultural land in Romania is expected to decrease by 0.2% each year on average up to 2026, according to figures released by the Department for Agriculture. In 2021, the country was ranked 28th, with 8.5 million hectares, falling behind Poland with 8.6 million. India, Russia, and China came in at 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively. Since 1966, Romania's agricultural land has remained at the same level.
