Since 1998, Mauritius has grown its demand for benzene by an average of 14.6% year-on-year. In 2021, the country placed 38th in the global ranking, with Nepal overtaking it with 14,640 kilograms. The United States, Belgium and the Netherlands respectively placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the ranking. Meanwhile, Mauritius' export of benzene is set to reach 184.47 kilograms by 2026, a decrease of 6.3% year-on-year. Since 2005, the country's supply of benzene has seen an average annual growth of 9.3%. In 2021, Mauritius placed 39th in the global ranking, with Spain coming out ahead with 264.1 kilograms. India, Germany and Japan ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
