Kazakhstan's import of benzene is expected to reach nearly 5,000 kilograms by 2026, growing by an average of 3.2% each year. This is a notable increase from 2006 when the country's demand was just under 2,000 kilograms. In 2021, Kazakhstan was the 45th largest importer of benzene, while Zambia was ahead of it with 3,980 kilograms. The United States, Belgium and the Netherlands were the top three importers. Kazakhstan's export of benzene soared in 2018, reaching 13.1 million kilograms, up 46.8% from 8.95 million kilograms in 2017. This placed Kazakhstan 30th in the world rankings, with the Philippines ahead of it with 13.1 million kilograms. India, Germany and Japan were the top three exporters.
