Indonesia's Benzene imports are projected to reach nearly 293 million kilograms by 2026, a 1.7% year-on-year growth since 1994. In 2021, Indonesia ranked 8th in the world for benzene import, with 260 million kilograms, just behind Spain in 1st place. The US, Belgium and the Netherlands followed, taking 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. Benzene exports from Indonesia jumped 46.9 million percent in 2018, reaching 23.5 million kilograms from just 50 kilograms the year before. Since 2000, Indonesia's benzene exports have increased by an average of 2.3% year-on-year. Last year, Mexico held the top spot for benzene exports, followed by India, Germany and Japan.
