This trend continues a pattern observed since 1999, where Ugandan supply has risen by an average of 4.7% annually. In 2023, Uganda ranked 18th in the world for animal feed export, with the Czech Republic slightly ahead at the same export volume. Germany, Belgium, and the United States held the top three positions in the global rankings. On the import side, Uganda's animal feed import is expected to reach about 63 million kilograms by 2028, increasing from roughly 50 million kilograms in 2023. This represents a compound annual growth rate of 3.6%. Since 1999, Uganda’s demand for animal feed imports has grown at an average rate of 3.7% per year.
