Malagasy animal feed imports are projected to reach approximately 11 million kilograms by 2028, down from nearly 12 million kilograms in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 1.1%. Since 1995, demand for animal feed in Madagascar has consistently declined by about 1% each year. In terms of exports, Madagascar experienced a dramatic decrease in 2018. Animal feed exports plummeted to just under 182 kilograms, a staggering 99.7% drop from the 58,570 kilograms exported in 2017. Over the long term, Malagasy supply has seen a significant reduction, falling by 71.8% annually since 1995.
