The country's demand for animal feed has been on the rise since 1995, with an average yearly increase of 5.5%. On the export front, Malawi saw a dramatic surge in animal feed exports in 2017, amounting to about 27,200 kilograms. This is a significant leap from just 400 kilograms in 2016, representing a staggering increase of 6,690% year over year. Since 2000, Malawian animal feed supply has grown at an average annual rate of 50.7%.
