Mexican Animal Feed Export is projected to decline significantly over the next five years. By 2028, exports are expected to drop to approximately 14.7 million kilograms, down from around 22.5 million kilograms in 2023. This represents a year-on-year average decrease of 6.8%. Historically, Mexico's supply has been decreasing at an annual rate of 5.5% since 1995. In 2023, Mexico ranked 52nd in animal feed exports, trailing behind New Zealand, which exported roughly 22.5 million kilograms. Germany, Belgium, and the United States occupied the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the import side, Mexico's Animal Feed Import is also set to decrease, albeit at a slower rate. By 2028, imports are forecasted to reach about 80.6 million kilograms, down from approximately 96.4 million kilograms in 2023. This marks a year-on-year average decline of 2.8%. Since 1995, the demand for animal feed imports in Mexico has seen a yearly reduction of 3%.
