In 2023, India ranked 24th globally in animal feed exports, with South Africa surpassing it at the same 172 million kilograms mark. Leading the rankings were Germany, Belgium, and the United States, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the import side, India's animal feed intake is expected to reach 258 million kilograms by 2028, up from 215 million kilograms in 2023. This denotes an average annual growth rate of 2.9%. Since 1993, Indian demand for animal feed has risen by 4.5% each year.
