Indonesia's animal feed export is projected to climb to approximately 75 million kilograms by 2028, up from about 65 million kilograms in 2023, marking an annual growth rate of 2.2%. This steady increase has been part of a long-term trend, with the country's supply rising by an average of 1.7% per year since 1994. In 2023, Indonesia ranked 35th in global animal feed exports, with Uruguay surpassing it at around 65 million kilograms. Leading the rankings were Germany, Belgium, and the United States, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the import side, Indonesia's animal feed intake is expected to decrease significantly. Projections indicate a drop to about 136 million kilograms by 2028, down from nearly 234 million kilograms in 2023. This decline represents an average annual reduction rate of 8.6%. However, since 1994, the country's demand for imported animal feed has increased by an average of 4% each year.
