In 2023, Slovakia ranked 18th in the world for aromatics exports, trailing behind Australia, which posted the same export value of $175,000. The top three countries in this ranking were China, India, and Japan. Conversely, Slovak imports of aromatics are expected to rise to about $32,000 by 2028, up from roughly $29,000 in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 1.9%. Despite this growth, Slovak demand for aromatics has seen a yearly decline of 4.1% since 1999.
