Saudi Aromatics Export is projected to reach approximately $160 million by 2028, up from around $157 million in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 0.4%. Despite this modest growth, the Saudi supply of aromatics has experienced a long-term decline, falling by 1.2% per year since 1996. In the global ranking for aromatic exports, China, India, and Japan occupy the second, third, and fourth positions respectively, following Saudi Arabia. On the import front, Saudi Aromatics Import plummeted dramatically, reaching just $8,930 in 2018, down from $149,330 in 2017. This marks a staggering 94% decrease in a single year. Over the longer term, since 1996, Saudi demand for aromatics has decreased significantly, with an average annual decline of 70.7%.
