Despite this recent uptick, the long-term trend since 2011 shows a dramatic decline in demand, down by 43% annually. On the export front, Kuwait experienced a stark drop in 2017. Aromatics exports plummeted to roughly $317,000, down from a substantial $14,650,000 in 2016. This represents a staggering 98% decrease year over year.
