Maltese butanol imports are forecast to drop by 0.8% year-on-year to €17.5 million by 2026. Since 2008, there has been a 6.7% year-on-year decrease in demand for the product in the country. Maltese butanol imports reached €18.3 million in 2021, coming in 25th in the worldwide ranking. Cyprus was ahead of Malta, with €18.3 million, while Belgium, France and Germany respectively held the second, third and fourth spots.
