The export and import of artwork in Ireland is set to reach $45 million by 2026. This figure is a 2.2% increase on the $33 million Irish art exports were estimated to be worth in 2021, according to a year-on-year CAGR. Since 1997, the value of Irish art exports has grown by 12.8%. In the 2021 rankings, Ireland was in 30th place, with Pakistan at the top with an export value of $28 million. The United Kingdom, Switzerland and France were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Meanwhile, Ireland's import of artwork is estimated to decrease by 0.9% to $12 million by 2026 from 2021's estimated value of $11.9 million. Since 1997, the value of Irish art imports has decreased by 7.7%. In the 2021 rankings, Hungary overtook Ireland for 39th place, with the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates occupying 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively.
