Macedonian art exports are set to reach $1.38 million by 2026, up from $1.17 million in 2021. That would represent an average year-on-year growth of 2.3%. Since 1999, Macedonian supply has increased by more than 50%. In 2021, the country ranked 63rd, with Peru ahead in first place with $1.17 million. The United Kingdom, Switzerland and France followed in the rankings at numbers two, three and four respectively. Macedonian art imports totalled $59,570 in 2019, up from $31,810 in 2018 – a year-on-year increase of almost 90%. Since 1999, however, Macedonian demand has decreased by around a third. In 2019, the country came in 121st, with Malawi overtaking it with $59,570. In the rankings, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates came in at numbers two, three and four respectively.
