Algerian demand for potash is on the decline. In 2021, the country imported 83,990 kilograms, a 2.1% decrease from the 95,000 kilograms imported in 2021. Since 1997, imports have fallen by an average of 5.9% each year. Tanzania was the top importer in 2021, importing 95,000 kilograms. Belgium, France, and Malaysia followed as the second, third, and fourth biggest importers, respectively.
