Bahamian lamb production is set to reach 31,000 metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 0.4% a year on average since 2021, when the country produced 30,000 metric tons. This growth rate of 0.7% a year on average is a continuation of the trend since 1966. Papua New Guinea overtook the Bahamas in 2021, producing 30,000 metric tons of lamb. Australia, New Zealand and Algeria were the top three producers in that year, respectively.
