Guatemala is set to produce more lamb in the next five years. According to figures from 1966 to 2021, the country is estimated to reach 2,160 metric tons in 2026. This is an increase of 0.6% annually. In 2021, Guatemala was ranked 105th in the world for lamb production, at 2,090 metric tons - just behind Djibouti at 2,090 metric tons. Australia, New Zealand and Algeria topped the ranking, with 2,660, 2,427 and 2,304 metric tons respectively.
