Morocco is set to become one of the world's largest lamb producers in the next five years. Production is predicted to reach 206,850 metric tons by 2026, a 1.7% increase from 2021. The country has seen a steady rise in production since 1966, with an average growth rate of 3.1% each year. In 2021, Morocco was the 11th largest lamb producer, with 187,440 metric tons. It was overtaken by Chad, with Australia, New Zealand and Algeria following in second, third and fourth place respectively.
