Beninese lamb production is on the rise. In 2021, it reached 3,410 metric tons--an increase of 0.9% year-on-year since 1966. This put Benin in 94th place, just behind Togo at 3,410 metric tons. Australia, New Zealand and Algeria were the top three producers, respectively. If current trends continue, Benin's lamb production is expected to reach 3,600 metric tons by 2026.
