Since 1966, Burmese supply has seen a steady decline of 1.1% each year. In 2021, the country ranked 66th in global production, with the Netherlands surpassing Burmese production with 12,000 metric tons. Australia, New Zealand and Algeria followed respectively at numbers 2, 3 and 4.
