Azerbaijan is set to increase its lamb production in the next five years. According to estimates, by 2026, the country will produce 98,590 metric tons of lamb, a 1.8% growth annually on average. Since 1997, Azerbaijan’s lamb production has grown by 3.3% per year. In 2021, it ranked 28th in the world, with 88,630 metric tons. Saudi Arabia topped the ranking, followed by Australia, New Zealand and Algeria.
