Production of lamb in Montenegro is set to decline over the next five years, with a year-on-year decrease of 1.5% expected by 2026. This follows an overall drop of 12.1% since 2011. In 2021, Montenegro ranked 124th in the world in terms of lamb production, with 1,010 metric tons. This number was surpassed by North Korea, which produced 1,010 metric tons. Australia, New Zealand and Algeria rounded out the top four, placed in second, third, and fourth respectively.
