Brazil is set to reach a record high in polypropylene imports and exports in the next five years. In 2021, Brazil was the 20th largest importer and 17th largest exporter of polypropylene in the world. Myanmar was the top importer and South Africa was the top exporter. Italy, Germany and Indonesia were the top-three importers, while South Korea, Germany and Singapore were the top-three exporters. Since 1994, Brazil's demand for polypropylene has grown by 1.6% year-on-year on average, while its supply has decreased by 4.3% year-on-year. By 2026, Brazilian imports of polypropylene are projected to reach 227.9 million kilograms, a 1.7% year-on-year growth on average. Exports are expected to hit 306.5 million kilograms, a 1% year-on-year growth on average.
