Switzerland is set to see a slight growth in polypropylene imports in the coming years. In 2021, the country imported 71,810,000 kilograms of polypropylene, an 0.3% decrease from the previous year. This made Switzerland the 38th highest importer of polypropylene in the world, falling behind Guatemala. Italy, Germany, and Indonesia took the top three spots in the ranking. Since 1993, Switzerland has seen an average 4.1% yearly increase in polypropylene imports. In 2019, the country was 51st in the ranking, with Lithuania ahead at 7,201,200 kilograms. South Korea, Germany, and Singapore rounded out the top four.
