Italy is set to see a moderate increase in its polyurethane export and import over the next five years. Export is expected to reach 215.6 million kilograms by 2026, up 1% from 199.9 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1999, Italian supply has grown at a 0.4% year-on-year rate. Italy came in third in 2021, while China led the ranking with 199.9 million kilograms. China, Italy, and the United States took the top three spots. Meanwhile, Italian polyurethane import is projected to reach 105.3 million kilograms by 2026, representing a yearly growth rate of 1.2%. Since 1999, Italian demand has increased 2.2% year-on-year. Iran led the ranking in 2021 with 96.5 million kilograms, followed by India, Germany, and Italy.
