Demand for fertilizer is set to surge in the Ivory Coast over the next 5 years. By 2026, imports are expected to reach around 122,000 metric tons, a 4.1% average year-on-year increase since 2007. The country was ranked 46th in 2021 with 95,480 metric tons, while Malawi came in ahead with the same amount. Brazil, Spain and Thailand were the second, third and fourth highest ranked countries in this ranking. At the same time, the Ivory Coast's fertilizer exports are estimated to decline slightly by 1.5% year-on-year on average to reach 37,340 metric tons by 2026. Since 2007, supply has risen 11.3% year-on-year. The country was ranked 36th in 2021 with 40,770 metric tons, just behind the Philippines. Norway, Belgium and Finland were the second, third and fourth highest ranked countries in this ranking.
