Gambian fertilizer import is set to boom over the next five years. In 2021, the country imported 4,740 metric tons of the agricultural essential - up 78.2% since 2007. This figure puts Gambia at number 122 in the global rankings, with Armenia ahead on 3,550 metric tons. Brazil, Spain and Thailand were the top three importers, in that order. Gambia is expected to see a 4.6% year-on-year increase in fertilizer imports through to 2026.
