Demand for fertilizer in the Maldives is set to grow 4% per year, on average, over the next five years. In 2021, the country imported 123.33 metric tons of fertilizer, putting it at 148th in the world. That was 24.2% higher than in 2007. Namibia led the world with 159.41 metric tons, followed by Brazil, Spain, and Thailand.
