Iraq is set to see growth in its fertilizer import for the next five years. In 2021, the country imported 16,980 Metric Tons, placing it in 88th place. Uganda was ahead with the same amount of imports. Brazil, Spain and Thailand followed at 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. Fertilizer exports from Iraq also saw a dramatic increase. In 2017, the country exported 53.04 Metric Tons, up from 8 Metric Tons the previous year, an increase of 563%. Since 2016, the country's exports have grown 19.7% year on year. By 2026, Iraq's fertilizer import is forecast to reach 22,650 Metric Tons, a 4.8% year on year average growth rate. Since 2007, the country's demand has grown 35.8% year on year.
