Since 1996, Ecuador has seen an 18.4% annual increase in demand. In 2021, Ecuador ranked 48th in terms of wheelchair imports, with Costa Rica coming in ahead at $2.5 million. Japan, Germany and the UK were the top three importers, in that order.
