By 2026, German chlorine imports are expected to reach 61 million kilograms, up 0.9% annually from the 2021 figure of 57 million kilograms. This would be a 5.8% annual increase since 1996. Germany's chlorine exports, however, are forecast to decline to 27 million kilograms by 2026, a 3.1% annual drop from 2021's 32 million kilograms. This is a 12.7% decrease since 1996. France overtook Germany in 2021 and came in third place, with the US and France respectively ranking first and second.
