Urea imports to Algeria are forecast to decrease by 6.4% in the next five years, from 21.2 million kilograms in 2021 to 19.8 million in 2026. This follows a 5.5% yearly decline since 1997. Kazakhstan topped the rankings in 2021, with 31 million kilograms, while Algeria came in 70th place. India, Brazil and Thailand were second, third and fourth respectively. Urea exports from Algeria are expected to grow 3.9% annually, from 2.5 billion kilograms in 2021 to 2.8 billion in 2026. This follows a 0.8% yearly decline since 2018. Malaysia led the rankings in 2021, with 1.98 billion kilograms, while Algeria came in 8th place. Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
