Sweden is set to see growth in both urea exports and imports over the next five years, according to a report. Exports are expected to rise from 17 million kilograms in 2021 to 20 million kilograms by 2026, a year-on-year growth rate of 2.6%. This is up from the 5.1% growth seen since 2002. In 2021, Sweden ranked 45th, overtaken by Serbia with 17 million kilograms. Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran come in at numbers two, three and four respectively. Imports are also set to rise, from 141 million kilograms in 2021 to 156 million kilograms by 2026, at an average year-on-year growth rate of 1.8%. This is a slight increase from the 2.2% growth seen since 2003. In 2021, Sweden ranked 43rd, behind Indonesia at 140 million kilograms. India, Brazil and Thailand come in at numbers two, three and four respectively.
