Iran is set to export 49 million kilograms of urea in 2026, up from 41 million kilograms in 2021. This translates to a 2.9% year-on-year growth rate since 2002. In 2021, Iran was the fourth biggest exporter, behind Egypt which exported 41.5 million kilograms. Saudi Arabia and Egypt took second and third place, respectively. Meanwhile, Iran's urea imports dropped 22.9% between 2016 and 2017 to 970,000 kilograms. This marks an 11.6% decrease since 2002.
