Oman's urea exports are set to reach 4.3 billion kilograms by 2026, growing an average of 2.5% each year. Since 2000, Oman's supply has risen 6.1% annually. In 2021, Iran topped the ranking with 3.7 billion kilograms, followed by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Oman in second, third, and fifth place respectively. Oman's urea imports saw a dramatic increase in 2018, reaching 2.4 million kilograms from 1.0 million kilograms in 2017 – a 127% year-on-year increase. Since 1994, however, demand has decreased by 25% annually. In 2018, China led the ranking with 2.4 million kilograms, followed by India, Japan, and South Korea in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
