French import of butadiene is expected to drop by 0.4% in the coming years, from 302 million kilograms in 2021 to 302 million kilograms in 2026. This is a decrease from 1999, when import was at 304 million kilograms, a 1.9% year-on-year drop. In 2021, China had the highest import at 304 million kilograms, followed by France, the US and others. Meanwhile, export of butadiene from France is projected to decline by 10.4% between 2021 and 2026, from 17 million kilograms to 9 million kilograms. This is a decrease from 1999, when export was at 17 million kilograms, a 7.4% year-on-year drop. In 2021, Italy was the leading exporter, followed by Germany, Belgium and Brazil.
